Abertura da BBEST – IEA Bioenergy Conference, em São Paulo, reuniu pesquisadores de dezenas de países. A liderança brasileira nas discussões multilaterais voltadas à transição energética foi elogiada por vários painelistas.
We would like to inform you that applications are open for 4 FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowships and also for 1 Postdoctoral Fellowship in Research Management (PRP-UNICAMP), within the scope of the Center for Development Sciences – CCD Ethanol, a project approved by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and based at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering (FEQ) of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP).
Applications will be open from February 1, 2026 to March 4, 2026, and the selection process will be carried out in two stages, as set out in the call for applications.

IEA Bioenergy Task 39 is launching a call for experts and stakeholders to answer a survey for the Industry Hearing on Biofuels for Decarbonization of Land Transport, coordinated by IEA Bioenergy Task 39 in collaboration with SAE BRASIL and the Society of Bioenergy (SBE).
We invite contributions from industry, academia, OEMs, fuel producers, infrastructure providers, government agencies, financial institutions, certification bodies, multilateral organizations, and civil society.
The questionnaire will support the development of:
• the Industry Hearing discussions,
• a technical White Paper, and
• a Statement contributing to COP31 discussions on sustainable fuels and transport decarbonization.
The process focuses on practical and scalable pathways for reducing emissions from land transport between 2026–2035, particularly in sectors where rapid electrification remains challenging.
Topics include:
🔹 near-term emissions mitigation
🔹 fuel-engine-infrastructure compatibility
🔹 infrastructure and logistics
🔹 sustainability certification and regulatory harmonization
🔹 financing and deployment policies
🔹 alignment with long-term net-zero pathways
The questionnaire takes approximately 25–35 minutes and responses will be treated confidentially and analyzed in aggregate.

The physical Industry Hearing will take place on September 8–10, 2026, at the Instituto Agronômico de Campinas, bringing together international experts to discuss realistic, evidence-based, and globally relevant pathways for transport decarbonization.
