Using termite microbes for environmental solutions

A disruptive technology for the utilization of lignin-based aromatic wastes as a new type of feedstock for lipid production. A new breakthrough and concept in utilizing wood-feeding termite gut symbionts for integrating bioremediation and biorefinery technology toward some recalcitrant aromatic wastes for a biodiesel production system.

Important information:

  1. The student must be a member of SBE and present his(er) work at the event.
  2. The amount of resources allocated to support students is limited, and requests will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
  3. The student must register for the event and contact SBE (sbe.bioenergy@gmail.com), attaching a copy of his(er) work and proof of enrollment in an Undergrad or Graduate Program.
  4. Supported students will receive a voucher to be used in the event’s registration system.
  5. SBE support is exclusively for the registration until July 31, 2024 (early registration).
