SBE – SOCIEDADE DE BIOENERGIA, com sede à Rua Cora Coralina, 330, Sala 27 – Campus UNICAMP – CEP 13083-896 – Campinas, SP, telefone de contato (19) 3521-1720, pelo presente Edital, convoca todos os associados, para participarem da assembleia geral ordinária a ser realizada no dia 12 de novembro de 2025, às 10h00 em primeira chamada, e às 10h30 em segunda chamada. A Assembleia Geral ocorrerá através da plataforma digital google meet, para deliberação dos itens abaixo da ordem do dia. SBE – SOCIETY OF BIOENERGY calls all members to participate in the Ordinary General Assembly to be held on November 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. on the first call, and at 10:30 a.m. on the second call (Brazilian time), to deliberate on the following agenda:

  1. Election of the SBE Board of Directors (2025–2029)
  2. Bylaws update: presentation and approval
  3. SBE accounts
  4. Actions in 2024
  5. New members
  6. Other matters

The country is home to one of the world’s most advanced bioethanol programs and is the second-largest producer of biodiesel, supported by decades of policy frameworks such as the National Alcohol Program (Proálcool), the RenovaBio law, and recently the Fuel of the Future law.

Webinar 3: Future bioenergy opportunities: Emerging markets in Brazil and beyond

Brazil’s bioenergy sector is entering a new growth phase, expanding beyond traditional ethanol and biodiesel to supply advanced fuels, power, and heat for multiple industries. The country is positioning itself as a key player in biomethane, Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), with projects under development aiming to meet both domestic and export demand by 2030.

Important information:

  1. The student must be a member of SBE and present his(er) work at the event.
  2. The amount of resources allocated to support students is limited, and requests will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
  3. The student must register for the event and contact SBE (sbe.bioenergy@gmail.com), attaching a copy of his(er) work and proof of enrollment in an Undergrad or Graduate Program.
  4. Supported students will receive a voucher to be used in the event’s registration system.
  5. SBE support is exclusively for the registration until July 31, 2024 (early registration).
